My New Project, A Garage Addition

Now we have to get the exterior sheathing on next. It took a few evening but a few sheets at a time and the job will get done. The project is starting to resemble a building now insted of a mud hole in the ground. It looks so big right now and it even has developed an echo on the inside. I doubt that echo will still be around after I get done setting the inside up the way I want it, but it's nice having all this open space for a while.

We did not get the roof up before we got some bad weather. X-Mas weekend was looking very much like a rain out so I had to put up a plastic sheet over the whole garage. It took me the entire morning and it was drizzling the whole time so I ended up soaked to the bone, but I got the garage covered and I'm good to go for a while. I have some inside work I can do until this bad weather blows over.

The last of the sheathing is up and the guys are starting to wrap the garage and put up the siding. Look,, I've got windows now. Jodie is already planning to put candles in the windows but there's no power in the garage yet. Maybe next year.

The wrap is up for the most part and the siding is starting to go up. I still do not have a roof yet due to a delay in the roof metal. I'm going to need it soon, the plastic is not holding up in the wind that well.
