1967 Camaro Restoration Project
Page Three

Denise and Glenn have accepted the job of cleaning, bead blasting and painting of all the small parts and hardware. This will have a huge impact on the overall cost of this restoration and also the time frame.

Remember these parts from the last page? Back from the sandblaster they look a lot different don't they. Thank you D.L. George of Waynesboro, Md for a job well done and for a great price.

I would be shocked and surprised if there was nothing wrong with the original parts we have to use on this restoration. After all, they are 44 years old. As you can see here, the rear subframe mounting ears have seen better days. Nothing that a RandyRig fabracation with a piece of plate steel can't fix.

After hours of fabracation work the sub frame is ready for paint with new mounting ears patches scabed in place. The welding from 1967 was not that good compared to todays standards so I ground out and re-welded a few of the ugly looking original welds.

The painting fairy came by the other evening and did another batch of small parts.

Hold on a sec, smothings wrong here,,, when did my clean up bitch go gray and grow arm pit hair??
