I assembled the core support, radiator, and fan shroud off the car then installed them as a unit. That made it very easy to install that way, something you can't do with front sheetmetal on the car. The front is starting to take on the shape of a car now.

I didn't get any pictures of the transmission going back in but then again, it's kinda hard to take a good picture when your on your back on the floor and the trans is just inches from your face. Anyway, Thanks to my buddy Dave for helping me hump the tranny into place that evening. Didn't take that long once we got the "round-to-it". It's installed along with the crossmember. Now on to the driveshaft. The one off old Blue was rusted to bad and I didn't trust it and the one I got with the Atlanta car was bent so now that the trans is in place, I can mesure the fitment and I had the shaft rebuilt with a new tube and u-joints. Just another check off the endless list of things to do.

Just happened to be over at the paint shop when Frank was painting the seat frames.

The Shifter... what a mess. Remember old Blue was a column shift and we are going with a floor shift now so the shifter assembly had to be totaly reconditioned.

A nice new shinny shifter handle was in order.

Now the challange,,, cutting a hole in the transmission tunnel and get it the right place so everything fit and works correctly. Thanks to TeamCamaro.net web page fourm and Bush Lite for your support.

The shifter is installed and works great, and the console is placed and the holes are drilled.

I decided to paint the exhaust pipes with the same headder paint I used on the manifolds to keep them from rusting with time and age.

Starting to get some of the engine accessories installed.

Just when I thought things were really moving forward, I guess a step backward was in order. As I was installing the front exhaust pipe to the manifold, I had another ear break off the manifold flange. Who knows how many heat cycles these 45 year old manifolds have been through. Oh well, back a step or two while I wait for the new manifolds to arrive here from the vendor .

I got the new manifolds the other day, now they need cleaned up and painted like the other ones were.

Looking good just like the old one.

The manifolds are back on the engine and we can start moving forward again.

Pipes are up nice and tight.

Glen came over and installed the rear package tray, speakers, and hooked up the speakers.

I've got the front light harness in place along with the regulator and horn relay.
