1967 Camaro Restoration Project
Page Fourteen
Well, while Frank is busy on the body work, I wanted to take care of another loose end. Remember the pile of steering column parts you saw back on page 9 ? After some work, a few parts, and some paint we now have a brand new looking steering column with new bearings and floor shift housing. I'm glad to get this pile of parts off the workbench, I'll be needing the table room real soon.
Parts just back from painting.
Now it's done.
Checking back in on Frank and the guys I see the car's in epoxy primer now and a sanding guide coat has been applied. Frank was working on sealing all the seams on the car while I was there. The car should be back by Thanksgiving weekend at this pace.
Sometimes the best way to get a good surface is to make your own. This looks like crap now but I'll bet my paycheck when it's done it'll be smooth and straight .
